Creating an account, posting a tuition requirement, applying to a tuition or signing a confirmation letter all count as accepting these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the platform.

If you use Academyso on behalf of a family, a coaching centre or an institution, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for them.

Academyso is a tuition marketplace based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. We introduce guardians and students to tutors, and we give both sides the tools to agree the terms in writing before the first class.

We are an introducer, not an employer. Tutors work for themselves — they are not our staff, we do not direct their lessons, and we do not promise any particular result from them.

You must be at least 18 to hold an account. A student under 18 can be taught through Academyso, but the account and the agreement belong to their guardian.

Register with real information and keep it current. One person, one account — accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred.

Whatever happens under your login is treated as yours. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got in.

Before a tutor appears in search results we check identity documents, academic certificates and, where they are offered, references.

A verified badge means the documents we received look genuine. It is not a rating of teaching quality, character or reliability, and it is no substitute for your own judgement — meet the tutor, ask questions, and start with a trial class.

We can re-check any profile at any time, and we take listings down when documents cannot be confirmed.

Guardians describe the tuition honestly: subjects, class, location, days, timing and the salary on offer. Tutors apply only to tuitions they can genuinely teach and genuinely reach.

Applying is not a hire, and a posting is not an offer. A tuition is confirmed only when a Tuition Confirmation Letter has been issued and both sides have signed it.

We may correct obvious errors in a posting, or remove one that is misleading, duplicated, or against these terms.

Our fee pays for the introduction and the tools around it — matching, verification, the confirmation letter and support. The amount that applies to a tuition is shown before you commit, and nothing is charged until a hire is confirmed.

Fees are quoted in Bangladeshi Taka. Any charge your bank or mobile wallet adds on top is yours to bear.

Every confirmed hire is recorded in a Tuition Confirmation Letter. It carries its own letter code, the job it belongs to, and the terms both sides agreed to:

• Tuition type, category, class and subjects
• Location, tutoring days and tutoring time
• Number of students, student gender and tutor gender preference
• Monthly salary in BDT and the hiring date
• Anything else the two sides agreed under other requirements

The letter takes effect only once both the tutor and the guardian or student have signed it. Until then it sits waiting, and neither side is bound by it.

Signing electronically on Academyso — by confirming with the name on your account, or by uploading an image of your signature — carries the same weight as signing on paper. Read the whole letter before you do it.

Your copy stays in your dashboard and can be downloaded as a PDF whenever you need it. Treat it as the agreed record. If the tuition changes later, ask us for a fresh letter rather than working around the old one.

Salary is counted from the hiring date on the letter. That date is set once the trial class has taken place, and the trial class counts as a regular class, because from that point the tutor is confirmed.

We can void a letter that was issued in error, that carries wrong details, or where one side has broken these terms. The reason is recorded on the letter itself so both sides can see it.

Academyso is not part of the monthly money that moves between a tutor and a guardian or student. We do not collect it, hold it, or pay it out.

The two sides settle directly, in whatever way and at whatever time suits them both. The amount is the one written on the confirmation letter.

Because we are not in the middle of that payment, we cannot refund it, reverse it or guarantee it. Keep your own record of what has been paid — the attendance log in your dashboard is a good place to start.

Either side can end a tuition. Tell the other side, tell us, and give as much notice as you reasonably can, so nobody is left without a class or without income at short notice.

Platform fees are refundable only as set out in our refund policy — broadly, where a confirmed tuition never starts and that is not down to you.

Salary already earned for classes taught is not refundable through us. That is between the tutor and the guardian.

Be honest, be on time, and be decent to the person on the other side of the tuition. When you cannot make a class, say so early.

• Do not post false qualifications, invented reviews, or someone else's photographs
• Do not harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone
• Do not ask a student or guardian for money, gifts or favours beyond the agreed salary
• Do not scrape the platform, or use it to advertise unrelated services
• Do not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer any part of it

Anything unsafe or unlawful involving a student is reported to the authorities.

Please do not use Academyso to find each other and then arrange the tuition privately to avoid the fee. The introduction is the thing you are paying for.

Where a hire has clearly been taken off-platform to dodge the fee, we may charge the fee that was due, close the accounts involved, or both.

You keep ownership of what you upload — profile text, photographs, certificates and reviews. You give us permission to display it on Academyso so that the platform can do its job.

A review should be your own honest experience of a tuition that actually happened. We remove reviews that are bought, traded, or aimed at a person rather than at the tuition.

You can close your account whenever you like, from your settings.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we cannot verify, or that puts other users at risk. Where we can, we tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

Confirmation letters that were already signed stay on record after an account closes, because the other side may still need to rely on them.

Academyso is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot promise that a particular tuition will suit you, that a tutor will stay for the whole year, or that the site will never go down.

Profiles, salaries and availability come from users. We check what we reasonably can, but we do not independently confirm every claim on the platform.

Because we introduce rather than employ, we are not responsible for what happens inside a tuition — the teaching, the results, any injury or loss, or a disagreement between the two sides.

Where we are held liable in spite of that, our total responsibility to you is limited to the platform fees you paid us for the tuition the claim relates to.

Nothing here removes liability that cannot be removed under Bangladeshi law.

These terms change as the platform does. The date at the top tells you when they last changed, and we give notice in the app before anything significant takes effect.

Letters you have already signed continue to run under the terms that applied on the day you signed them.

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and the courts of Dhaka have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Talk to us first, though. Most problems are settled faster on the phone than in front of a judge.
